 When You Receive Your Salvation
 
The moment you receive your salvation, you probably won't feel any different, except for a profound thankfulness and joy.  Other than that, you are the same physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Only your spirit has experienced transformation.  This is important to acknowledge because with this transformation you are now responsible to feed your spirit the Word of God.  When you become a new creature in Christ, it's up to you to allow your spirit to dominate your life, but that can only be done be learning God's Word and acting upon it.  
 
By this I mean that you are only a baby in Christ in need of spiritual growth.  Daily you must feed your spirit God's Word, and let that Word transform you mind and rule your life.  Your thinking and ultimately you actions dominated by God's truth will cause you to grow into a mature Christian.  This process is therefore not automatic, but achieved by one's dedicated efforts.
